About Us

We are Barry Duncan, Nikki Layton, and Zorro!

We hail from Vancouver BC, Canada but for now, we live on our Leopard 42 Catamaran named Momentum 42. 

​

We have named our boat Momentum 42 because our personal training studio was called Momentum Fitness and that is where it all started for us and you know that once you have Momentum it just keeps going! Transport Canada has very specific naming rules and in order to be allowed to use Momentum we had to add a number to the end so we added 42 because it’s for the 2 of us, we’re a 42 foot
boat and of course everyone knows the meaning of life is 42!

After almost 20 years of running our training studio, building a software company, and buying and selling real estate we decided it was time to have a little more fun. We sold the businesses and streamlined the real estate and started traveling. After a couple of years, we decided it was time to make the move onto a boat and the process of finding the right boat for us began. After months of research, phone calls, website stalking, and 1 trip to Florida during Covid we managed to find a boat and place our order. 18 months later it was time to move aboard and start having some fun.
